Morley-Ellenbrook Line Extension
The 21km Morley-Ellenbrook Line will give people living and working in Perth’s north-eastern suburbs more transport choice. As Perth’s largest public transport project since the Mandurah Line, this project will support approximately 6,500 jobs and help shape vibrant new communities.
The Morley-Ellenbrook Line will halve the public transport journey time for passengers travelling between Ellenbrook and the CBD.
Approximately 21km of new rail line will be constructed starting at Bayswater Station on the Midland Line, traveling in the centre of Tonkin Highway, through land north of Marshall Road, along the western side of Drumpellier Drive (formerly New Lord Street) and will end in Ellenbrook, south of The Parkway.
Stations will be built in Morley, Noranda, Malaga, Whiteman Park, and Ellenbrook. Bayswater Station will be rebuilt, and a future station is planned at Bennett Springs East.
As part of the associated Tonkin Gap project, a new Broun Avenue bridge is being constructed to accommodate the future Morley Station.
APP Corporation Sydney contracted us as Consultants to provide specialist advisory and full-time construction surveillance for their client Laing O’Rourke at PermaCast concrete factory south of Perth ensuring full compliance on all modules.
Laing O’Rourke scope of work entailed all the big structures, bridge beams, planks, columns and other infrastructure to be used on the massive rail line expansion in Perth's north eastern suburbs.
Tonkin Gap Alliance (TGA), a prominent consortium involved in major infrastructure projects, strategically partnered with Gun Co. Australia to uphold impeccable standards of quality and regulatory compliance throughout the fabrication process of custom culverts. These culverts, crafted at the esteemed Dallcon Precast facility located in Dalwallinu, were pivotal elements within the expansive scope of the Morley-Ellenbrook rail extension initiative.
Embodying innovation and precision engineering, the project entailed the creation of seven distinct culvert designs, each meticulously tailored to meet the unique demands of the railway expansion. With an impressive total exceeding 110 units, this collaboration exemplified a commitment to excellence and seamless integration within the broader infrastructure development landscape.
